Mines are working to make the industry a sustainable one that can continue to provide the raw materials that build the future. How will we deliver raw materials as efficiently and sustainably as possible?

Dr. Cerasale holds a Master of Science in Wildlife Biology from The University of Montana and a PhD in Ecology and Evolutionary Biology from Cornell University. He has over 20 years of experience in the research and management of wild animal populations. He is the Director of the Environmental Department and the technical lead for natural resource studies at WestLand Resources, Inc., an engineering and environmental consulting firm with offices throughout Arizona. Much of Dr. Cerasale’s work with WestLand has focused on environmental permitting for mining projects and addressing the attendant complex regulatory issues with federal statutes such as the Endangered Species Act and National Environmental Policy Act.
