Jeff DaCosta

Mr. DaCosta has worked for the Arts Foundation for four years – two as Assistant Public Art Manager and two as Public Art Manager. In his current role Mr. DaCosta manages all aspects of the Public Art program for the City of Tucson and Pima County, including but not limited to creating calls for artists, working collaboratively with the City and County project managers and community
members to ensure a smooth artist selection process, managing the Public Art Community Design Committee for the City and County, and advising artists on their application for, contract negotiation with, and management of projects in our community. Mr. DaCosta brings to this work nearly two decades of direct experience in the art field, including several years in gallery management and art preparation. Mr. DaCosta is himself a working artist, whose mixed media sculptures and foundry experience provide him with an intimate familiarity with many of the materials common to public artworks. Mr. DaCosta holds an MFA in Studio Sculpture, an MA in American Indian Studies with a focus on education and artist professional practice, and a BFA in
Studio Sculpture.
