The IoT security challenge – Internet devices are becoming more and more prevalent in everything we do. They are part of shaping our future at home and at work. This talk will discuss some of the challenges we face, the effect IoT will have, and what will be required for success from the view of technical experts.

Joseph Dain is a Senior Technical Staff Member and Master Inventor in the IBM Systems Storage organization in Tucson, Arizona. He joined IBM in 2003 with a BS in Electrical Engineering from Arizona State University and has over 100 patents issued and pending worldwide. In his current role he collaborates with IBM Research to build next generation artificial intelligence pipelines that are leveraged in a variety of use cases such as detecting cancer in tissue biopsies, assisting fire fighters in combating wildfires, and building next generation cybersecurity applications.
