Footprint General Benefit Corporation (dba rent.solar) was established to support the mission of a non-profit enterprise called Footprintproject (www.footprintproject.org) which strives to make disaster relief operations more sustainable, starting with converting them to solar power. To make this capital intensive equipment more accessible, we’ve adopted a cost-sharing approach, working with community partners who rent our solar trailers and shelters for temporary events when they are not being deployed to support those who need our help. By renting our gear to power your festival, construction site, film shoot or outdoor event, you help support our mission!

Lee started his career in the GIS / analytics industry and shifted to solar when he moved to Arizona in 2004. In 2007 he founded a company called SolEquity, and developed the first project in Arizona financed through a Solar Services Agreement. Lee has worked as a Senior Project Developer at Kyocera Solar International (NYSE:KYO), as Director of Project Development for ReneSola Power Holdings (NYSE:SOL). Prior to starting rent.solar he served as Head of Business Development for C2 Energy Capital, a NY-based renewable energy investment firm. He served on the board of the Arizona Solar Energy Industries Association (AriSEIA) from 2010 to 2017, as President (2010-2011).

Lee has a joint MBA from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and the Schulich School of Business at York University, and a BAA from Ryerson University, Toronto. He sits on the Advisory Board of Arizona State University’s Professional Science Masters in Solar Energy Engineering and Commercialization Program.
