The presentation will discuss why companies win or lose when facing the transition from an analog defined world to a digitally defined one based on examples from imaging, audio and automotive industries, start-ups to Fortune 500s. Knowing is not enough, having the will and wherewithal to act is what defines success.

Phil Abram held the position of Chief Infotainment Officer and member of corporate strategy team for General Motors from 2012 until retiring in 2017. As Chief Infotainment Officer, he was responsible for worldwide strategy, business development and product requirements for infotainment and telematics capabilities across all General Motors’ brands. As a member of the corporate strategy team, he was responsible for “disrupting” General Motors as the mobility industry goes through an inflection driven by connectivity. Mr. Abram has been recognized in the industry as a “Titan of IOT” and General Motors has unquestioned market leadership in connectivity and the adoption of new technology under his direction. General Motors launched 4G LTE connected vehicles in US, CA, Europe and China with more connected vehicles by 10X more than the rest of the industry combined. Mr. Abram led General Motors’ adoption of Apple CarPlay and Google Android Auto and developed GM’s strategy for big data reporting to the CEO.
