Celebrating the 25th Anniversary of IdeaFunding
The excitement was palpable as the community gathered for the finals of IdeaFunding's pitch rooms! Presented by our amazing sponsors like the Flinn Foundation and Optics Valley, each room showcased five outstanding teams, presenting their visionary companies to a panel of three industry judges. After months of hard work and rigorous selection processes, the finalists emerged from over 100 applicants to pitch in the vertical pitch rooms.
Each team had five minutes to pitch their ideas, followed by five minutes of questions from the judges - shark-tank style! IdeaFunding felt like so much more than a pitch competition sitting in a crowd before the winners were announced, it really felt like a celebration of creativity, community, and innovation.
Congratulations to Divine Hair Goods for winning the Main Stage, Fraqtals for winning the People’s Choice award, the Earnest House for winning the Adalante Arizona Award, and Luna y Sol for winning the Social Impact Award! The future feels so bright with all of the amazing community builders, entrepreneurs, and dreamers in Tucson.
With the IdeaFunding awards, community awards were also presented, we’re honored to celebrate entrepreneurs and community builders in the Tucson area. Congratulations to Carlotta Flores of Flores Concepts and Don Guerra of Barrio Bread for winning the Thomas R. Brown Outstanding Entrepreneur Award and Ashley LaRussa of BLAX Friday for winning the Larry Hecker & Sherry Hoskinson Community Builder Award.
