Local Flavor and Luchador Excitement: Highlights from the First Annual TENWEST Street Fest
In 2022, we held the first annual "TENWEST Street Fest" featuring 100+ local food and retail vendors. Located at the heart of the Toole Ave Arts District, this event highlighted local artist spaces, galleries, and restaurants that really showcased the vibrancy of this block in downtown Tucson and interacted with the Tucson community of all ages. Vendors were hosted by Toole Ave Arts Alliance, Cream Flea, and Galeria Mitotera, highlighting local makers, vintage and handmade crafts, and artists.
Featuring live performances by Kinetic Arts Tucson, Installations and exhibitions by CREAM and BLX Skateshop, live music by Los Ésplifs, Gertie & The TO Boyz, and Los Velvets, plus DJs Walters The Don, and Posi, live luchador wrestling, food and beer gardens at 191 Toole, Borderlands, and BATA. Playformance, Solar Culture, and many more!
The live luchador wrestling was a particular hit with the crowd that day, with kids and adults alike cheering on their favorite wrestlers competing for the title of reigning champion of Street Fest.
We can’t imagine a better way to close out TENWEST than with some of Southern Arizona's finest vendors, artists, and performers!
